After beating all British sailing yachts in the first race of its kind in 1851, The Yacht Americamade history. Thus was born the famous America’s Cup sailing race that continues to this day. The Yacht America then went on to fight on both sides of the Civil War where she was honored with a new name: USS America. Not only known for making history, The Yacht America is a piece of functional art. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are incredible, making this 139 foot sailing yacht the epitome of luxury. The Yacht America is 139 feet long, 25 feet wide, and 105 feet tall. Step down below to the salon and enjoy the smell of rich mahogany amid comfortable leather sofas. This venue is fully equipped with a fine commercial galley, more than adequate for experienced caterers and chefs to present a first class meal on any occasion. The Yacht America can be used for weddings, bachelor or bachelorette parties, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, and corporate events.

This 7,700 square foot hall is a wonderful space to hold conferences and other similar type events for groups of 120 to 500 plus.  The Main Hall seats 360 people comfortably at round tables. In theater/lecture style seating the Main Hall can seat 500 attendees.

The historic beauty of the Marston House Museum and Gardens in Balboa Park offers a lovely setting for weddings, corporate functions and other special events. The lush manicured gardens and towering trees make this historical monument a perfect setting for a garden wedding or special event.

The picturesque gardens accommodate up to 200 guests for a wedding ceremony. Features that include formal and rustic gardens, teahouse, fountain backdrop and beautiful historic landscaping have made this the wedding site choice for generations of San Diegans.

Discover San Diego’s coveted secret for art lovers at the Spanish Village Art Center (SVAC). Situated between the Zoo and the Natural History Museum in the heart of Balboa Park, the flowering bougainvilleas and multi-colored cobblestones escort you into the Villages center courtyard. Mingei International Museum is located in the west end of historic Balboa Park, on the Plaza de Panama. The Museum features dynamic, changing exhibitions of folk art, craft and design from all cultures of the world, displayed throughout six beautiful galleries. The Mingei provides a a wide verity of unique locations to rent for an event, from the museum to the balconies overlooking the Plaza de Panama, to an intimate Garden Courtyard.
